The promoter of the Honcho Launch Contest (the “Contest”) is Honcho Markets Ltd of Salvus House, Aykley Heads, Durham, DH1 5TS doing business as “honcho” (“Promotor”, “we”, “our” or “us”). honcho is trading name of Honcho Markets Ltd which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, FRN 791467. The Contest is administered by Social Chain Ltd (“Administrator”), on behalf of Promotor.

Who can enter

1 - The entry period for the Contest starts at 13:00 (BST) on 5th September 2019 and ends at 23:59 (BST) on 3rd November 2019 (the “Contest Period”). All entries must be received before the end of the Contest Period and any entries received thereafter shall be null and void, and ineligible for the Contest. The Contest is open to entrants who are legal residents of the United Kingdom. Entrants must be holders of valid full UK driving licence and be 17 years of age or older at time of entry. If an entrant is less than 25 years of age at the time of entry (i.e. is 17-24 years old) such an entrant must have an adult who holds a valid full UK driving licence and is of 25 years of age or older available to accompany them on the Prize (as defined below) referred to herein as “Entrants”.

2 - Employees (and their families and agents) of Promoter or Administrator or of any of their respective affiliated companies, and any other person connected with the Contest, may not enter.

3 - We may ask Entrants to confirm their eligibility to enter, and proof of identity, and proof of a valid full UK driving licence will be required to claim any Prize.

4 - By entering this Contest, Entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Official Rules (“Official Rules”), which constitute a binding agreement between Promoter and you, the Entrant. Our decision is final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. Any Entrant who fails to comply with these Official Rules will automatically be disqualified from the Contest.

How to enter

5 - Entrants will require access to the internet in order to enter the Contest. We are not responsible for any technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in internet service or network hardware or software.

6 - In order to enter the Contest, Entrants must complete the following actions during the Contest Period: visit the honcho website or download the honcho app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store(the “Website”) and register to use honcho, including entering and submitting all information requested where instructed to do so. In order to enter, information shall include the Entrant’s name, date of birth, phone number, email address and postal address,. Once the Entrant submits all necessary information the Entrant must receive from Promotor car insurance bids from a number of car insurance providers from the UK car insurance market and an email from Promoter requesting the Entrant to confirm that they wish to enter the Contest. In order to be entered into the Contest, the Entrant must then click the link emailed to them to confirm acceptance of the competition terms and conditions and to confirm that they wish to be entered in the Contest.. Entrants may also be subject to criminal checks. Only one entry per person will be permitted. Only Entrants who have responded to the Promoter email by clicking the included link to confirm acceptance of the competition T&Cs to confirm their entry into the Contest will be considered. Incomplete entries may be declared void. If an Entrant submits or attempts to submit more than one entry to the Contest, they will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute over who submitted the winning entry, the authorised subscriber of the e-mail account used to participate in the Contest at the actual time of entry, will be deemed to be the Entrant. The authorised account subscriber is defined as the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organisation (e.g., business, education, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. All entries and any related materials submitted as part of the Contest become the property of Promoter and will not be acknowledged or returned.


7 - There will be a total of two (2) driving holiday prizes available (the “Prizes”).

First Prize: The first prize consists of a 4-10 day driving holiday in either Italy or Iceland up to the value of £6,000 to include basic car hire and vehicle insurance for one driver over the age of 25 for the duration of the trip (make and model dependent on chosen prize); return flights from the UK to the destination; accommodation for 2 in a double room with breakfast (accommodation star rating dependent on chosen prize and route); and petrol allowance (allowance dependent on final cost of trip).

Second Prize: The second prize consists of a 4-10 day driving holiday in Scotland up to the value of £3,000 to include basic car hire and vehicle insurance for one driver over the age of 25 for the duration of the trip (make and model is dependent on final cost of the trip); train travel to chosen Scottish city (Edinburgh, Aberdeen or Glasgow only); accommodation for 2 in a double room with breakfast (accommodation star rating dependent on chosen route); and petrol allowance (allowance dependent on final cost of trip).

The two prizes do not include travel insurance, visas, food and drink, spending money, tax or personal expenses. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize are the responsibility of the winner(s). The final prize details will be discussed by both the winner(s) and honcho and will ultimately be decided by honcho. Both trips must be taken between 1st March 2020 and 31st May 2020.

The Winners of the Prizes will be selected in a raffle format in accordance with the selection criteria below.

Selection Criteria

8 - Winners will be drawn on 11th November 2019 at random under independent supervision via a computer programme producing a verifiably random result. Administrators will contact the Winners by phone or email. Winners will be announced by 25th November 2019. There will be two (2) potential winners in total (the “Winners”).

9 - The random selection of Winners are final. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, the Promoter reserves the right to review the Winner selection and to withhold any Prize if, at Promotor’s sole discretion, there is a procedural, legal, or other reason that the Prize should not be awarded.

10 - If a potential Winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 7 days, a redraw at random will be undertaken on 3rd December 2019. Neither the Promoter nor Administrator will be responsible for failed attempts to notify any potential Winner and no responsibility is assumed by Promoter or Administrator for any e-mail(s) or other correspondence returned as undeliverable without a forwarding address or any other problems, omissions or technical malfunctions associated with any network, servers, computer equipment, software, applications, the Internet or any combination thereof. For the avoidance of doubt, each potential Winner shall be subject to verification of identity and eligibility to enter the Contest.

11 - Prizes may not be exchanged for any cash or other alternative, the Prizes must be accepted as offered and are non-transferable, non-assignable, divisible, permitted to be sold or resold. Prizes cannot be replaced or refunded in the event of loss, theft, or missed opportunity.

12 - Upon the request of Promotor or Administrator or a related entity, the potential Winners must sign and return the following documents in order to be eligible to receive a Prize: (a) any releases and waivers requested by Promoter, in each instance releasing Promoter and Administrator from any and all liability, loss, claims, demands, and causes of action for or related to (i) personal injury, damage, theft, loss, or any other harm suffered in connection with the Contest or the receipt and/or use of any Prize and (ii) publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, intellectual property and any other personal, proprietary or property rights of any party and/or any related cause of, including, without limitation, the use/misuse and/or acceptance of any Prize; and (b) a promotional release granting Promoter the right to use each potential Winner’s name and likeness for advertising, marketing and publicity purposes without additional compensation, credit, accounting, notification or approval (collectively, the “Contest Documentation”). By entering into the Contest, each entrant agrees to promptly sign and return all of the Contest Documentation upon request by Promoter, Administrator or a related entity.

13 - By entering the Contest, Entrants agree that Promotor and/or Administrator may use the contact information provided by the Entrant as part of their entry to contact the Entrant regarding potential opportunities, offers, collaborations or other matters relating to Promoter’s products, services and/or marketing or promotional campaigns.


14 - You must comply with all of the rules regarding the use of the Website, including without limitation, the Terms and Conditions:

15 - We may refuse to accept any entry at our absolute discretion. Incomplete, bulk, automated and third party entries will be disqualified. Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose conduct, in Promoter’s sole discretion, is deemed to be offensive, libellous, slanderous, inflammatory, or otherwise inappropriate or unsportsmanlike in any way for the Contest.

16 - We may alter, amend or withdraw this Contest without prior notice if necessary due to circumstances outside our reasonable control.

17 - We do not accept responsibility for (i) network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of your entry; or (ii) any act or default of any third party supplier, which is outside of our reasonable control.

18 - By entering and/or participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees: (a) to be bound by and comply with (i) all of the terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules, (ii) the interpretations of these Official Rules by Promoter and by the decisions of Promoter, which are final in all matters relating to the Contest; and (iii) the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy of the Website; (b) not to hold themselves out as an agent or representative of Promoter; and (c) to release and hold Promoter and Administrator, and each of their respective agents, employees, officers, directors, successors and assigns, and any suppliers, licensors, donors, Promoters, suppliers, operators, service providers, marketing partners and other affiliated parties, in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, Administrator (collectively, the “Promoter Parties”) harmless against any and all claims, injury or damage arising out of or relating to participation in this Contest and/or use or misuse or redemption of any Prize (as defined herein), including, without limitation, publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, intellectual property and any other personal, proprietary or property rights of any party and/or any related cause of action. Further, neither the Promoter nor Administrator shall be responsible for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects (in part or in whole), delays in operations, transmissions, theft, or destruction or unauthorised access to or alterations of any entry correspondence, transmissions or other materials in connection with the Contest. Any attempted submissions or entries in connection with the Contest that are lost, late, misdirected, incorrect, garbled, or incompletely received, for any reason, including, without limitation, by reason of hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatibility on any servers or otherwise shall not be counted or eligible for the Contest, as determined by the Promoter, in its sole discretion.

19 - You hereby grant to us and the other Promoter Parties a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully-paid, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable right to use any content you submit to us in relation to the Contest (including without limitation, your intellectual property, name, image and likeness) in any manner to be determined in the Promoter Parties’ sole discretion, including but not limited to webpages and social media pages operated by the Promoter Parties, in promotional emails and advertisements, and in any and all other marketing, promotional and advertising initiatives, and in any media now or hereafter known.

20 - Your information may be used as set forth in these Official Rules and as described in our Privacy Policy, a copy of which can be found on the Website. We will process your personal data in accordance with all applicable laws.

Please note that any promotion organised by Honcho Markets Ltd and administered by Social Chain Ltd is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any third-party social networking site such as Facebook.

By entering the Contest, Entrants agree to release any social networking site that the Contest may be accessed through from any and all liability connected with the Contest.

21 - These Official Rules shall be governed by English Law and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

22 - Each entrant (a) agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Promoter Parties from any and all liability resulting or arising from the entrant’s acts or omissions in connection with the Contest, and (b) hereby releases the Promoter Parties from any and all liability and waives any and all rights to bring any claim, action or proceeding against any of the Promoter Parties in connection with the Contest. Each entrant hereby acknowledges that Promotor has neither made nor is in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, in connection with the Contest or the Prizes.
